Stronger Than I Knew: Jyoti’s Motherhood Journey

Motherhood is often painted as a picture-perfect dream—smiling babies, peaceful days, and everything falling naturally into place. For Jyoti Sharma, it has been a journey filled with love, joy, and countless cherished moments. In her own words, she shares the little victories, the everyday laughter, and the lessons that continue to inspire her. With the thoughtful support of D’bebé—a brand that celebrates growth through Montessori-inspired toys and meaningful finds—these moments of bonding and learning have become even more special.

Before becoming a mom, what did you imagine motherhood would be like?

“I used to believe it would be like those picture-perfect moments—calm days, a smiling baby, and everything falling into place naturally. But the truth is much messier: sleepless nights, constant worries, and self-doubt. Still, it’s also filled with tiny giggles, milestones, and unconditional love. That bond makes every struggle worth it.”

How has motherhood changed you as a person?

“Motherhood has taught me patience on days when I felt I had none, strength on nights when I thought I couldn’t go on, and resilience in moments of doubt. I’ve discovered a softer, nurturing side—but also a stronger, determined one. I never knew how much love my heart could hold until I became a mother.”

What everyday moments do you cherish most?

It’s the little things: cuddling him close, watching his innocent smile, playing together in our fancy dress with DIY green dino cardboard, and hearing his laughter. These are the memories I wish I could freeze in time. They remind me to slow down, cherish the present, and hold these precious parents and child bonding moments forever in my heart.

What has been the toughest part of your journey?

The hardest days are when I feel tired, overwhelmed, and still expected to give my best. The guilt of ‘not doing enough’ can be heavy. On those days, I pause, cuddle my baby a little longer, and remind myself: tomorrow will be better. I’m learning that my love is enough for my child, even on the tough days.”

How do you find calm in overwhelming moments?

“Just holding him, feeling his tiny hands, or watching his smile melts away the stress. His laughter makes me forget the hard parts, and his presence reminds me why I need to stay strong. He gives me the strength to keep going.”

What would you say to other moms who feel exhausted or unsure?

“Please know that you’re not alone. It’s okay to feel tired. It’s okay to doubt yourself. And it’s okay if life doesn’t look picture-perfect. Your love, your presence, and your efforts mean the world to your child—even when you feel like you’re falling short. Be gentle with yourself. Take one day at a time. You are enough, just the way you are.”

What memory always melts your heart?

Watching my baby grow. The little things I once taught him, he now understands and responds to. Every time he does, it brings tears of joy. It’s emotional, but also the most beautiful part of this journey.”

Do you find time for self-care?

“Yes, during his naps or at night. Those small moments let me recharge and reconnect with myself—whether it’s working on my passion or simply breathing in the quiet. They’re short, but they help me feel balanced as a mom.”

Is there a quote that inspires your motherhood journey?

Yes: ‘Your career can take a break, everything else can wait, but your baby’s childhood will never come back.’ These words inspire me daily to focus on the present — celebrating love, play, and discovery, whether through shared stories or time spent with educational toys.

Jyoti’s journey is a reminder that motherhood is not about perfection—it’s about love, resilience, and presence. To every mom reading this: your struggles don’t make you less, they make you human. And your love will always be enough..
